MSMM Engineering, LLC is currently engaged in the comprehensive architectural and engineering design of the Reach L Levee, part of the Mississippi River and Tributaries project, spanning from B/L Sta. 289+62.70 to B/L Sta. 50+00 in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana. This critical infrastructure initiative, involves the preparation of Right of Entry for Construction Drawings, Design Document Report (DDR), and detailed Plans and Specifications. Our team leverages advanced geotechnical analyses, structural design documentation, and hydraulic engineering to ensure resilience and compliance with the stringent specifications set forth by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. This project involves a meticulous design and engineering process for the installation of new waterlines ranging from 3” to 8” in diameter, incorporating modern valves and strategic tie-ins to existing systems. The scope also includes the replacement of fire hydrants, water service connections, and the rehabilitation of associated roadways impacted by construction activities. Initial phases involve detailed topographic surveys and geotechnical borings to assess subsurface conditions, which are critical for designing a resilient water distribution system.
